The Weihnachtsmarkt in Esslingen brings together a traditional Christmas market and a medieval-themed market, all set against the backdrop of the beautiful old town. If you’re ever in the area during December, we can heartily recommend stopping by. During our visit, Terry showed off some unexpected axe-throwing skills—hitting all three axes with the wrong end (as seen in the left picture), thereby outscoring the author of this post (who shall remain anonymous!).
